NOBE stands for the National Organization for Business and Engineering, a society that aims to connect engineering students to the business world.
NOBE McGill is the only Canadian NOBE Chapter. We are a team of twenty-six undergraduate students across all engineering disciplines with strong interest in the field of business.
At NOBE McGill we offer networking events, case competitions, and informational panels to enable students to connect with companies in fields such as Invest Banking and Consulting.
NOBE organizes a variety of case competitions and networking events. For more information, check out our Facebook page for all upcoming events
Suit up is a networking events where we allow engineering students to connect with business professionals in order to develop connections in a variety of industries. We usually have professionals from fields such as investment banking, consulting, and more. Engineers of all experience levels are welcome and are encouraged to come with questions and to seek valuable advice.
NOBE Business Case Competition (NBCC) is a case competition held every Fall for McGill engineering and management students. The case is focused on consulting and allows students to strengthen their case-cracking skills by getting feedback from professional consultants. Students also get the opportunity to network with these professionals during the event. No experience is necessary in order to participate and there is usually a cash prize!
The Business Analytics in Engineering (BAE) case competition requires you and your teammates to analyze a dataset in order to develop a business solution. The competition is held every Winter semester and often features many impressive sponsors, such as Microsoft, PwC, and BMO Capital Markets. This competition is great for people seeking an introduction to analytics and for those who are already developing their analytics skills. A cash prize goes to the lucky winners!
